EGX (Exchange)

The exchange is a marketplace where investors can buy and sell stocks and other financial assets. The exchange also helps determine securities’ market prices.

MCDR (Central Clearer)

Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry (MCDR) manages the following:

• Central Clearing: Acting as an intermediary between buyers and sellers and settlement of cash resulting from transactions
• Depository: Holds and manages securities on behalf of investors. It facilitates the settlement of trades and the transfer of ownership of securities.
• Registry: Maintaining an accurate record of who owns which securities

• Delay in stock market order executions
• Delay in receiving updated Stock market order statuses

EGID - Back Office Service Provider

Our back office service provider (EGID) is responsible for:

• Order management System: 
  • Receiving orders from Thndr and sending them to the EGX and MCDR.
  • Receiving order status updates from the EGX and MCDR and sending them to Thndr.
• Feed:
  • Reflecting real time prices (including price depth)
  • Sending stock charts updates 
• Back Office:
  • Portfolio details
  • Purchase power
  • Invoicing

• Delay in stock market order executions
• Delay in sending and receiving updated stock market order statuses
• Delay or inaccuracy in stock price quotes and charts
• Delay in receiving wallet balances
• Delay and unreliability in sending stock market orders.

Bank(s)/Payment Processor(s)

Banks and payment processors help you top up and withdraw funds from your Thndr wallet. 

In order to send money to Thndr, you need to send it through the bank or through a payment processor.

The same happens when you withdraw funds from your Thndr wallet, Thndr needs to transfer the funds to you through the bank or a payment processor. 

• Delay in processing top ups and withdrawals

Asset Manager(s)

Asset managers offer you access to invest in their mutual funds. They: 

• Manage fund investments
• Manage certificate price calculation
• Manage subscriptions and redemptions.

Asset managers are responsible for making investment decisions and managing the assets within a specific investment fund. Their primary goal is to maximize returns for the fund's investors by selecting and managing a diversified portfolio of assets, in accordance with the fund's investment objectives and strategy.

On-Prem Data center (EGIT)

EGIT is responsible for Managing:

• Data centers and servers

• Delay or inaccuracy in stock price quotes and charts
• Delay in receiving wallet balances
• Delay and unreliability in sending stock market orders.
